In many parts of town, BT services reach households via pair of wires spreading out from traditional telegraph poles. Love this pole simply because it has retained a wonderful finial which has probably sat atop this pole for the better part of 70 years.

That 'clutter' at the top? That's the fibre optic cable terminal (so the BT Engineer standing just out of sight assured me).
