Still standing

After a wild night of powerful winds, hail and thunder, the day dawned bright yet still turbulent. I was blown around the village for the first half of my walk, returning home while leaning into the gale and avoiding fallen twigs and small branches.

This noble oak has weathered many a storm, having been planted in the centre of Dallington village in 1911, to commemorate the coronation of King George V.
