The art of notan

Thanks to my online art course I have been introduced to the Japanese art of notan.
 
. This is a design concept –in black and white of a painting in its simplest form – without any colour or texture.
 
This is my first tentative effort today.
 
It’s been another wild and windy day and we have both been huddled indoors and tonight the temperature is plummeting again with another few days of a cold spell coming up.
