River Cocker Meander, Crummock Water

Friends and guests of mine will know this meander well, but rarely have seen it with the water so high. High winds today drew me to Crummock, in the hope of seeing water spouts. The weather there was so different to Keswick. Light winds, no water spouts, but high water levels, both along the river and at the end of the lake, access over the bridges by the weir were impassable.

Just a short walk, but so good to get into Lanthwaite woods again.

0.9 medium edged Lee Grad + Lee Big Stopper (10 stop), gave me a 30 second exposure. I used a Leica table tripod held against a tree for stability, rather than using a full sized tripod during lockdown.
