Spring colours.

We drove a few miles from home in a blustery sleet storm and parked up. We had planned a forestry path and open hill walk. It was quite bleak. We’re not generally averse to inclement weather; but today decided to go lower down to the town park - where the hardy crocuses were blooming. Delicate and tough, and a splash of colour - a very pleasing sight. I like the water droplets on the flowers too. And it turned it to be a good plan, as the weather was better.

682 new coronavirus cases and a positivity rate of 3.8% in Scotland today. There’s 512 patients in hospital - this is 1000 less than a month ago; that’s encouraging. To think it was a year ago today that Scotland’s first coronavirus death was announced. The relaxation on restrictions regarding meeting people outside is slightly eased from today, now 4 from 2 households. That’s welcome.

Family FaceTime. Weekend again. A bit more freedom and a fair forecast. We’ll meet up.
