Time stood still

I popped into the office today to pick up mail. Well, I can't pop in anymore. I had to fill out a risk assessment, get it approved all the way up to the chief executive's office and be given a time slot to go into the office. So I went, briefly, into the office today, just a few days short of a year since I was last in. And it was very strange. There are a few people in, but the building is largely empty. It's as if everyone has just walked out, leaving more or less everything behind. As of course we basically did. Almost a full year ago. It felt like time has stood still. My calendar was still on the wall beside my desk. At least the month is correct ....
