#619... 1st Finisher...

This morning at Sirromet parkrun on Brisbane's Southside in Queensland Australia my son Ruben finally grabbed the #1 token for the first finisher in 20:40 for their course... He went out with a group of 5 male runners and slowly picked them off... He took the first position just before the 4km mark and kept powering up the hill before hitting the slight downhill S bends before another uphill stretch before the final corner and the 700m dash to the finish line... Normally he would catch up but then sit behind the front runner but not today... The 2nd finisher said that when Ruben caught him he didn't have the legs on the heavy course after recent rains... Ruben gave it his all and deserved the #1 token... So proud of him...
