Gone but not forgotten

Kelvinbridge Station tunnel. The line runs from Stobcross via Kelvinbridge, Botanic Gardens to Kirklee. It would then have gone on to Maryhill.
Kelvinbridge Station. was designed by James Miller, 1894. Built for the Glasgow Central Railway. Closed in 1952. The office and booking hall building demolished in 1969 following a fire in 1968. The tunnel still runs under Great Western Road to the Botanic Gardens.
The extra photo shows the stairs that led to the street level booking office and waiting room.
