A Walk in the Park

Sunday in the park
Women in pink on a walkathon.
Men in spandex on bicycles.
Little kids pushing their own strollers or
playing in the creek with their dads.
Men with fishing poles.
The oaks are still bare
but the flowering plums stand out among the pines.
Soon the snack bar will open
And the dogs will have one day to swim in the swimming lagoon
Before the people get in.
Blue sky, sun, endorphins
