Snetterton

Our family GP's daughter LizH was taking serious lessons at the Snetterton Jim Russell Motor Racing School which was just 10 minutes from home. I suspect this visit by us was because she was having the test for probably the first stage of a racing licence.
In the middle right photo, her Dad our GP with beard, my Mum next to him, his second wife, not Liz's mother who had died young many years before and finally my Dad.

I spent a lot of time at Snetterton around this time with a Member's Card and whenever at home and there was racing would cycle over,

Not sure Liz went on to race much. Due to her brother being heavily into motor racing sponsorship, she was very much taken by the scene. I think racing was almost secondary but a "passport" to the rest of the events.

But good for her getting into the male dominated scene.

(Posted day after the legendary FI commentator Murray Walker died & the appalling scenes at Clapham Common when women held a vigil for a murdered young lady by a man in a clearly sexual motivated attack)
