March Cloudscape

Using my lens at its shortest focal length to try and get as much sky in as possible. I regretted not having an ultra wide with me, the sky was so expansive. The big band of cloud lit up by the setting sun was quite a sight. Catching a reflection in the nearby pool was a bonus.

Two shot hdr blend in Lightroom for dynamic range, otherwise the trees and foreground would be very dark and muddy. I tried to make it look natural as I remember it in my minds eye, but I think it's one of those things that takes practice.

I do remember being fascinated by the light lines in the foreground ice, presumably from impressions of reeds.
