Nesting

I took this picture through the bedroom window first thing this morning, while spending a happy half hour watching this robin go back and forth into the hedge just outside, building a nest. I'm so looking forward to the baby robins in due course and I think I'll set up some feeders specially for them.

Also this morning we went on a 6-mile walk to Chithurst, some of it through permissive paths in the forest owned by the monastery, where there are many Buddhas to be seen, once you get your eye in (see Extras).

This afternoon I'm doing some more work on my local history research. All in all, a good day.
