G brought this home yesterday and I was quite taken by the design. I quite like the little pretzels on either side of the "DAS".
Pretzels have lots of different names here none of which are "Pretzel". There's Brezel, Bretzel, Breze & Brezn for starters. It's a bit like the different names for rolls, regional variations are legion.
I've only eaten one in the ten odd years I've been here. It was served warm and with butter and was delicious - lecker even. Wonder why I stopped at one?
It was Monday and these are good days to survive.
