A Lie In

The sheep were in the field adjacent to the plant nursery where I went this morning to get a few more plants. They looked like they were having a lie in. I planted the two bamboos in big tubs, which used up nearly 3 bags of compost so I had to pop to the garden centre to get a couple more - doh! Just a couple more shrubs left to plant now. I had a lovely facetime catch up with my friend T this afternoon.

Day 364 / Day 69 of Lockdown 3 / Day 8 of Step 1 of Roadmap out of Lockdown (for my record only)
UK deaths up 64 to 125,580 (revised basis), with 5,089 new cases, 8,029 patients in hospital, 1,110 on ventilation and 531 new admissions. 24.5m have now received their first dose of the vaccine and 1.6m have had their second dose. France, Italy, Germany and Spain have joined the companies suspending use of the AZ vaccine until investigations conclude into a small number of reported serious blood clotting after vaccination. The South African variant has been found in two more areas of London, so surge testing will be done in Camberwell and Harrow. The ONS inflation basket of goods has been changed since before the pandemic to include hand sanitisers, casual clothing and home exercise equipment, whilst white chocolate, ground coffee and staff restaurant sandwiches have been removed.
