Dark clouds and sunshine.

It is the little ones third birthday tomorrow.  We were due to drop her present off, but as her 9 year old sister has developed a cough and a temperature having started back to school last week, I think we will give it a miss, even from a distance. She did have a covid test this morning, so hopefully, this will come back negative.

We have also decided that we really do need to visit my husband's  mother on her 93rd birthday on Wednesday in Wales.  We have come under a lot of pressure from husband's brother, who seems to think that our not visiting over the past few months is us avoiding our responsibilities, rather than the law surrounding one of the most serious health health emergencies in living memory. We feel as though we are walking a tightrope.

Had a walk by the sea again today.  Loved the colours of the terraced houses in the sun.
