Naturally Framed

This female wood duck and her hubby I believe were looking for a place to start their family.  I've never seen wood ducks in trees before and think maybe that they are looking for a place to make a nest.  

This little lady was kind enough to hop in this opening of a very oddly shaped (and well lit) tree just long enough for me to fire off a dozen or so pictures.  

Being out this weekend was a lot of fun and am so looking forward to spring!
