Corn and Blossoms

As a taster of things to come, here is the first real blossom (plum) that I have seen in Japan. This was at a temple in Dazaifu, an old capital (like everywhere in Japan), where there were crowds enjoying the flowers and a poem writing ceremony. We gave up on the poems and went for some corn cooked over hot coals and painted with soy sauce. Tasty...
