There’s a restaurant in Raynes Park, Babylon 76-68 (the numbers are part of the name), which was one of the first places to start offering takeaways when that was allowed again after the initial COVID lockdown last summer. They’ve always had some seats in the front that used be be full of diners back when that was allowed. I guess the fact that we’ve all been staying inside means I’ve missed the lovely foliage that has sprung up around it and the lamps in the evenings. Or maybe it was always there but in the general business of life I never noticed. In the window you can see the takeaway boxes piled high - they’ll been gone in the next few months as restaurants start to open up and diners can once again look out on the high street.
