Light and shadow

I've exhausted myself with indignation, memory, sadness, impotence and anger the last couple of days and took myself off to commune instead with plants, which just carry on doing what they do. This afternoon they were doing it peacefully in the sun. I wasn't allowed inside the palm house so here is a symbolic 'lockdown' pole in the middle of what might otherwise have been quite a pretty photo. However hard you try, there are very, very few ways to escape reality. The best we can do is act together to change it.
