Small tortoiseshell butterfly

What a glorious day! The first butterflies in the garden, tortoiseshell and peacock. Honeybees very busy. 17C
Rob and I walked our butterfly transects for the first time, we both saw commas, and a bumblebee. The wild daffodils are opening and the ravens were calling.
In extras, the Daphne mezerium that we spotted a couple of weeks ago is now flowering and smells divine! Not quite as big as my garden one, but we will hope it thrives.
