Rob’s Snaps!

Signs of autumn

Intense day of work. By late afternoon the emergency conference calls suddenly stopped, whatever the range of issues must have been resolved. Outside, another gorgeous autumn day was passing me by. I set my status to ‘away from my desk’ grabbed the camera and headed out the door.

I’d switched the lens on the Lumix the night before hoping to get a walk in before work. I did return to Davaar House and got some great shots in the low sun, the ruin in part lit by the bright sun and in part set in deep shadow.

I shot this frangipani flower the second after it had fallen to the ground. I like the dof and colour saturation of this image compared to the contrasty bnw shots of the derelict house.
