Lathyrus Odoratus

Oxalis triangularis

A few weeks ago I placed some leaves from my Oxalis triangularis, the False or Purpleleaf Shamrock, into a press hoping to get some material to create a few cyanotype prints later in the year. This morning I thought it would be appropriate (being St Patrick's day) to see how they were getting on. I opened the press to find that they are drying rather nicely, the purple colouring has drained from the leaves with these residual patches of colour remaining. They usually look like this.
