Chionodoxa .....

...... also known as Lucile's glory-of-the-snow. This pretty flower gets its name because it blooms so early in the spring or late winter that the light blue flowers sometimes appear poking up through the snow.

A visit to Victoria Park this morning .... I haven't been there for a couple of years so it was good to see a different pond and walk different paths. Plenty of daffodils, crocuses and clusters of these Chiondoxa growing on the grassy banks.

A rather dull start to the day but by mid morning the sunshine and blue sky won the battle and, like yesterday, it became really quite warm by lunchtime.
