Hutton Hall

A lovely long chat with J out in the sunshine. Usually we walk and talk but today we just sat, drank tea, ate barmbrack, talked and celebrated St Patrick's Day.

I walked home past Hutton Hall. This was once the home of local iron master Joseph Pease, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, but is now divided up into private homes. The grounds are full of lovely old trees and, sometimes, highland cattle graze there, but not today.
