Won't feel a thing / Nichts fühlen werden

Despite working for the Universitätsklinikum for three months, I’ve hardly set foot in the main hospital due to Covid restrictions.

Today I was there, but only to volunteer my biomaterials to a hastily-arranged study of any after-effects of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccination. I hope it calms fears, but I doubt it will. It’s odd that Germany and others paused its use based on a tiny number of reported issues, just when we need as much vaccinating as possible to avoid a third wave of infections which will affect thousands.

At least the swabs and syringes didn’t hurt too much - unlike, I suspect, these rather gruesome examples from the hospital’s museum...
