Going For Scrap

Long gone are the days when a local builder procured his own branded drain covers.

Harry Tingley, worked as a building contractor in East Grinstead throughout the 1930s (Thank you Kelly's Directories). His yard was behind 34 the High Street now the home of Broadley Brothers. His father (Herbert) was a bricklayer. He never married and lived all his life at 58 Moat Road (Thank you Zoopla). He died on the 18th April 1963
