Pussy Willow

We've been watching these little catkins appear on nearby trees but were impressed by this yellow explosion today.  I've been looking it up this evening and now know the tree is called Salix caprea or Goat Willow and this is a male tree, the female tree is nearby.

Fascinating stuff.
