White Butterbur: Pushing Through

White Butterbur, Petasites albus, is now shoving its way through the carpet of dead leaves on the woodland floor at Manar, Aberdeenshire, next to the anglers' car park beside the minor road from Burnhervie to Inverurie.

I saw the plant in a more advanced state in more or less this same location on 12th February last year, and at another Aberdeenshire location on 28th February the year before.
