Rose

Not too much going on here, just pottering about.
Doug headed off to the supermarket to get celery and peppers to add to the zucchinis, onions and cucumbers for the chutney.  Then he set to chopping the ingredients, now they're in a bucket having an overnighter with 3 tbsp of salt.  Tomorrow the chutney will be made.
Some editing and converting to mono of the basilica images. 
A nice chat with our daughter in Wellington, and a happy birthday text to our youngest in Townsville. Forty-four today, how did that happen??

A late blooming rose for Flower Friday, taken against the dark conifers that go around our garden boundary.  Love the colour and simplicity, and the one beside that has lost its petals.
