Reflections

New fridge freezer installed, previous one moved to the garage. The beer has a new home and happily chilling. The world has been put to rights.

That was early morning before I got a message from one of our new young folk who messaged to say she had a family emergency so wouldn’t make it into the office. I replied asking what kind emergency. Her reply:

“I was helping my brother get to the hospital, he was stabbed, sadly he didn’t make it”

The terrible reality for many people in SA but what saddened me even more was that she thought she was expected to be in the office the next day.

Living in Africa certainly changes your opinion on what is really important.
