Remnants of the Old South

I drove through an interesting neighborhood today in Wilmington,  Pine Valley is mostly residential.  It features a 1950s era golf course, an elementary school, and a Krispy Kreme restaurant.  The main road that travels through Pine Valley is Robert E. Lee Drive.  Surrounding street names also reflect the names of southern leaders of the civil war era.  Stonewall Jackson and Beauregard are among them.  Although the two downtown statues of southern leaders have been removed, a park's name was changed, these street titles remain.
