A Jumble of Violets

At this time of year self-seeded violets appear in the flower beds & in the lawn. The rain the other night has made it impossible - well, inadvisable - to step on the beds again. I'd like a better composition but I can't get closer!!

PS - a run this morning, preparation for an orienteering club committee meeting this afternoon, so a rapid Blip of signs of Spring in the garden!
