View from the birches

So we did a bit of birch tapping today! Friends do it every year and run a birch water business and invited us to come help.

It was fascinating, just a short season this year at 2.5 weeks. And apparently the moon’s cycle affects the birch sap rising too!

Anyway the view wasn’t half bad too as you can see from my blip. What a pleasure to be outdoors on a day like this.

Also delivered loads of books to a local charity which felt good and freed up space in the house. Later had a wee (socially distanced) outdoor farewell with some neighbours who are moving. Was nice to see everyone, been so long!
