Roof tiles - not a seagull

I see such fantastic shots of birds that people take and thought I'd try to capture a seagull that was on a roof - plenty of light, not too far away, nothing in the way; an easy job I thought.  But I was wrong - I missed completely and took a shot of the roof tiles under where the bird was.  Even when I did get a shot of the bird it wasn't coming out sharp so I thought, as the tiles didn't look too bad, that I'd go with them today.
