A plethora of birds

Well it had to be this one because I’ve never knowingly seen a Yellow Hammer before- we thought it was a Siskin til we got home! The bird reserve at Staveley was quiet in late afternoon sunshine - and the birds and rats! were out in force - they seem to cohabit comfortably together- we were treated to so many little birds, greenfinch, reed bunting , tree sparrow, blue and great tits, as well as lots of waterfowl - my bird cup feels well and truly full
