Anna's Hummingbird Chicks Day 11

Eleven days of development has occurred in these chicks since I began photographing this hummingbird nest.
My guess is these chicks are about 14 days old and according to the books they are right on track to leave the nest in the next 7-10 days.
They are very vulnerable with the Mom spending so much time off the nest; protected only by their very deceiving appearance and the excellent camouflage of their nest,
The feathers on their bodies are now becoming fuzzy no doubt keeping them warmer while hiding and protecting their shiny black skin.
