Calm reflection...

Thank you for the kind words following yesterdays post.  Really appreciate it!  

Didn't get much sleep last night and cleaning out his hutch this morning set me off again - as did reading lovely messages from people so still feeling quite numb. Buried him, with cuddly toy piggie friend by his side, under the apple tree, by one of his favourite patches of geraniums and have ordered a cute little bunny garden ornament to place nearby.  The garden feels very empty and weird without him in it...

Thankfullywe had a planned trip to Hyde Hall to distract me and it was lovely in the Spring sunshine! Even spotted 2 brimstone butterflies fluttering about - they weren't willing to pose for a photo though! 

And then this afternoon there was a peacock butterfly in the garden - again, disappeared when the camera came out! - but we had great fun(?!) putting together one of the 2 new arches we bought recently.  They don't make these things easy do they?! It says it could be assembled by one person - well the 3 of us struggled and may have sworn a bit! It has gone up now so we've re-tied in the roses and clematis and will just hold our breaths when the next bout of windy weather whips up! I fear carnage!!! And we've still got another one to build.....
