Bundo

I don't normally resort to 'dog blipping', but this was a particularly sweet specimen who spent the evening lying under the dinner table and only towards the end popped up to say hello. He seemed to have an interesting heritage, whereby his mother had been a street dog in Serbia, but had been smuggled across the border into Croatia, subsequently to have a litter of puppies, of which Bundo was one. He has now migrated to Austria, but his 'nationality' (i.e. his paperwork) is still Croatian, because it's cheaper than registering him in Austria. I found out quite a lot about small animal migration last night....

In addition, I also found out yesterday just how lax the Austrians are on smoking (there is still smoking in many bars and restaurants and - as you might expect - even the no smoking room in the restaurant we were in stank of smoke). It was almost like being in the Balkans...which is where I was a year ago.

Lecture done and dusted, and off on the train to Ljubljana today. I would have posted this blip last night, but there was no electricity (and thus no wifi) in this part of the hotel last night, until about 20 mins ago.
