Sapper and mate

At the Australian War Memorial in Canberra we found this bronze sculpture honouring the work done by dogs and their handlers in war zones.

We were given access to the archives to examine the journal kept by my uncle who was a fighter pilot in WW2. This along with The Last Post Ceremony made for a very moving visit.
