Re-reading

The fairly recent remake of the series All Creatures Great and Small spurred me on to look out the books I had from my childhood & re-read them as I was convinced the new series had taken liberties with the original & the books.
If Only They Could Talk cost 30p & It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet 50p in the early 70s. They are still an enjoyable read & Siegfried was a batchelor, Mrs Hall much older & Helen hadn't been engaged. My memory wasn't so bad after all. I did enjoy the recent series, even if it wasn't true to the books.
