Intercessory Prayer

Vicky Porterfield taught the first of four Wednesday night sessions on prayer at our church tonight. Since the teaching was scheduled to end before choir practice, I was able to attend and take pictures.  Tonight's session was on intercessory prayer, so after a time of joining our voices in praise, Vicky spoke to us about the three things that are necessary to be an intercessor, to "stand in the gap" for someone.  With a little audience participation she illustrated intercessory prayer.  We finished the night by breaking into groups of three where we put what we had just learned into practice by praying with and for one another. ...Of course, I don't have any shots of that part because a photographer often  has to make a choice between being a participant or being an observer and during that part of the evening, I was a participant.....
