My parents visited this weekend and my mum bought me some lovely bulbs including these Fritillaria to brighten up the house. The spring sun, through the French windows, is bringing them out in bloom at a record pace.

My mother reminded me that Charles Rennie Macintosh had painted these flowers almost a century ago
