Keeping an eye on me (back blip)

I went into a local coppice where I can always hear birds but never see then - but today I managed to catch sight of a few including this Chaffinch which was singing its head off.
Later I met a guy who is a real expert on the wildlife on our coast and he was telling me all about solitary mining bees  which we had seen entering holes in the dunes - far too quick to photograph - but hey maybe I'll manage it one day! Isn't it lovely to meet an expert who is really knowledgeable and sociable! We also saw a pair of small tortoiseshells together - first butterflies this year I think for me, it seemed like a very hopeful sight!.
