Snakes & Skunks

Winter has returned with a vengeance - strong winds, hail whiteouts and it's cold! There was a window at around 4pm though when blips were taken and we did a zoom around the circuit minor, battling against the head on westerly! The skunk cabbage - the nearest I'll get to Sydney Opera House - lives up to its name and has a very odd odour. The flowers come out first and then the big green leaves emerge later. The snakes head fritillaries are very good this year but currently getting a battering, as is the cherry blossom (white) which is looking splendid but why does the blossom emerging always coincide with gales - not very evolutionary sensible.
It seems to be Easter next week, how did that happen!
