Arduous spring challenge

An old fat man and his young Fritz the Ferocious challenged by the last 50-yards of a springtime walk in the neighborhood.

I suspect that if Fritz the Ferocious would sleep at night rather than galloping through the house shaking toys and barking, he would be invigorated and excited by daytime neighborhood explorations... but, and alas, Fritz the Ferocious would rather play than sleep at night and snooze and lay-about by day rather than run and play in the springtime sun.

Ah, the joys of retirement! Focusing on a puppy’s nap time rather than grading papers, preparing presentations, going to boring meetings, dealing with obstreperous colleagues.
