School driver

Visited Bright Star Academy, a school set up by Daniel and Rhoda to serve a poor community on the edge of Kumasi where a lot of the children didn't go to school. The school has been going and growing for a few years now and today had a record 181 children. They can never be sure how many are going to turn up!
I've got lots of photos of the kids but this is my favourite - the driver in the school bus.
In theory Ghana has free primary education for all, but there aren't enough schools, and the government schools have a very poor reputation (I think mainly because teachers are so badly paid), so there are many private schools. Here they try to charge enough to cover costs without excluding anybody - not easy!
