Vaccination centre

Today, it was PY’s vaccination.  The appointment tuned out to be in the former Gap store in Wimbledon’s Centre Court Shopping Centre which has been turned into a vaccination hub. Unfortunately, his experience was not quite as fast as mine: in fact it took almost ten times longer but, still, through the process in twenty minutes was great.  While that was happening I needed to pick up some items so got to walk through the, mostly, deserted shopping centre.  It’s quite strange - this would have been bustling on a pre-COVID Saturday but was almost empty. I wonder what it will become once this is over because there are a number of empty units and the anchor retailer, Debenhams, had closed just before we went into lockdown last year.  Unprecedented times.
