They say it's Spring

It's been the the warmest day of the year so far; as I type this, it's dark but still 11.5 degrees. Yay!

Today I had a brainstorm session with my colleagues. It was held in a rather lovely villa, right in the centre of town. It has a very peaceful walled garden, called the wintertuin. The villa dates from 1873, and until 1934 housed the Pollet family, ancestors of a one Pierre Pollet, a Regal textile dealer who fled the French revolution.
The building is now listed, and was taken over in 1986 to be used as a conference/party/wedding centre.

This spiral staircase is just one of the architectural features in the villa.

Not wanting to miss out on this glorious weather, I went out for a short walk at lunchtime and took these photos.
