Jackdaw (or Jilldaw)

The clocks went forward by an hour overnight plunging us into British Summertime.  No-one had told the weather as it's been cold, wet and windy today.

I have a number of jackdaw neighbours that live in the chimneypots near my house.  This morning they decided to visit the gardens in a group.  They were eating fatballs next door (my feeders have squirrel protectors on)  and they were using my hawthorn tree to take twigs to add to their nests.

My fence is a good halfway point between the food and the twigs and I got a photo through the kitchen window. I love their piercing blue eyes!
