On time

Late afternoon took off with Luna and a car full of clocks & watches to the town of Obergünzburg, 20 minutes drive away heading south. A lovely part and a lovely drive.

The master watchmaker has a workshop in a house, I picked him from the official Tissot site of approved service workshops. It would have been easier to use their postal repair service but I feared an impersonal service which wouldn't try to work around problems. On top of that had two clocks that I wanted looking at, one a family heirloom from Norfolk that still works exceptionally well but given the watchmaker reckons it is at least from 1870, it could do with a clean-up & oil. Also left three wristwatches, one from work colleagues in 1989 that simply needs a new battery and my father's Omega that also works but again, a service and a new leather armband would improve it.

Afterwards headed up the hill behind town and did a lovely walk with Luna alongside the forest but over meadows enjoying the relatively warm weather but especially the spectacular views of the Alps. It was at the same spot about a dozen friends rode good 50km from our former village for a two-day cross-country ride. Just seen I haven't got that event in my diary, so need to do a backblip! For now an extra photo of three young ladies we encountered today out for a ride.
